Beach Walk 1

Morning walks on the beach are a wonderful way to start the day As the sun peeks over the eastern horizon it transforms the sky from a deep contemplative blue to an ever-brightening orange. Then there is the magical moment, brief and fleeting, when everything seems to sparkle with internal illumination as the rays of light strike the dew on the sand, the grasses and the sea oats — the world comes alive all around the fortunate observer. This painting is my attempt to capture that instant when the new day begins.
